![]() | Lake Tobias Wildlife Park Lake Tobias Wildlife Park Since 1965 Lake Tobias Wildlife Park has been fascinating patrons with its wild, exotic animals and adventure-seeking safari tours. Nestled in the quiet countryside, Lake Tobias resounds with the sights and sounds of the jungles and grasslands of six continents. Animals, reptiles and birds from around the world can be found here. Exhibits; Monkeys, tigers, ostriches and many interesting creatures reside along 50 acres of zoo-type setting continuously educating and entertaining park visitors. A favorite among children, the petting zoo offers a collection of happy creatures from the smallest African pygmy goats to the long-necked llamas. Although they are friendly, please be aware they are not trained animals and they may jump on you or attempt to nibble your clothes. You'll find the camels, Patagonian cavies and armadillos here. However, not all animals in the petting zoo are accessible for petting. Please note: children under 8 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Time Tip: approx. 20 minutes needed to visit the petting zoo. The new Reptiles and Exotics building, scheduled for completion in June of 2011, is sure to be a real crowd-pleaser. The large exhibits, educational presentations and an opportunity to touch certain reptiles will enlighten you on these fascinating creatures. Enjoy simply walking thru or take a seat for one of several shows given throughout the day. Animals on display may vary daily, but will usually include snakes, lizards, amphibians, tortoises, marmosets, tropical birds, sloths, lemurs and a few surprises. Time Tip: approx. 40 minutes needed to see a show and view exhibits. The refreshment stand is located in the center of the park and is the hub of park activity. Food, drinks, souvenirs and Safari Tour tickets are sold here. A variety of food is available, including candy, popcorn, ice cream and soda. You can also purchase authentic buffalo burgers, hot dogs, chicken tenders, pizza, french fries and coffee. Park Management is also stationed at the Concession Stand.
