Take a relaxing train ride to the picnic grove where Matt Dodd, the singing historian will sing songs and tell stories of old railroad days. Matt has a way of mixing history with music to feature historical periods and American themes. This show is for the whole family!
Chartered in 1884, and opened in 1885, the Stewartstown Railroad survives today in very much original condition, and retains its distinctive charm.

Fort Halifax Festival, Halifax PA May 4th, 2024

Fort Halifax, built in 1756, by the Provincial government to provide safe shelter for wagon trains passing along the Susquehanna River from Fort Hunter to Fort Augusta. The Annual Fort Halifax Festival will be held May 4th, 2024 at the site of the French and Indian War Fort in Halifax PA, and will include, colonial encampments, re-enactments in Period Costumes, craft and skills demonstrations, free children's activities, animal exhibits and prizes.
