East meets West...EMD meets GE

Sunday November 4th at the South end of Enola yard there was a double meeting of sorts. East meets West, with Norfolk Southern and Burlington Northern Santa Fe representing their respective sides of the country. EMD meeting GE, representing the two top US locomotive manufacturing companies. Together they struck a nice pose, proving once again that opposites attract! What attracts railfans is variety, and The Harrisburg PA area offers great variety when it comes to trains and places to watch them as many different rail lines converge here. These lines radiate out in all directions north, south, east & west. Throw in three major yards, Amtrak's Keystone Line, several busy industrial branches and you can see why Harrisburg is a definite "Hot Spot" for train watching. As railroad traffic continues to grow, the Harrisburg area will see more trains and The Bridgeview Bed & Breakfast is strategically located to put you right in the middle of all this activity. Call 717-957-2438 or click today to make your reservation. Also, Check out our Facebook Page for daily updates, pictures and guest comments.
