Rockville Bridge Windbreak

Friday Night 2/18 in anticipation of strong winds NS installed a temporary windbreaker on Rockville Bridge to prevent another possible blowover. This operation was successful as the extremely strong winds Saturday and Sunday were not a factor. As of Sunday night the windbreaker was still in place. See attached photo of train 11R with BNSF SD70ACE leader crossing the Bridge on track 1 with a loaded coal train parked on track 2 acting as a windbreaker.

High winds disrupt bridge traffic

A stack train blew over on the bridge about 4:30 pm this afternoon. Sixteen containers on their sides, and two containers went in the water.
