150th Civil War Anniversary June 14-Sept 17, 2011

For the 150th Anniversary, the Packwood House Museum in Lewisburg is having an exhibit called "The Central Susquehanna River Valley Goes to War in 1861." The exhibit runs: June 14-Sept 17, 2011. The museum is open Tuesdays-Saturdays 10am-5pm. Visit the Packwood House Museum website for to view the exhibits to be displayed; such as the Underground Railroad in the area, maps, newspapers from the time, clothing, uniforms, etc. You can also go to the Slifer House Museum in Lewisburg. This was Eli Slifer's home; he was the Secretary of Pennsylvania during the Civil War. Tours are Wednesday-Sunday 1-4pm or by appointment. Adults are $6.
