The fair is held in Elizabethtown PA August 18th through 23rd, 2025, and offers competitive exhibits of animals, livestock, and agriculture. Cornwall Iron Furnace

The Cornwall Iron Furnace in Cornwall, PA is America's most complete charcoal-fueled iron-making complex, and a unique survivor of the early American iron industry. Originally built by Peter Grubb in 1742, the furnace underwent extensive renovations in 1856-57 under its subsequent owners, and closed in 1883. This mid-19th century ironmaking complex survives today. At Cornwall, furnace, blast equipment, and related buildings still stand as they did over a century ago. Here visitors can explore the rambling Gothic Revival buildings where cannons, stoves, plus pig iron were cast, by men that labored day and night to satisfy the furnace’s appetite for charcoal, limestone, and iron ore.
Cornwall Iron Furnace, a National Historic Landmark District, is the only one of America’s hundreds of 19th century charcoal fueled blast furnaces to survive fully intact. Certainly, an interesting place to explore!!

Port Royal Speedway 8/16/25 ~ 19th Annual Living Legends Dream Race

Another gem in Pennsylvania is the Port Royal Speedway. This Speedway is one of the oldest, operating racetracks in the state. The half-mile dirt track opened in 1938 and hosts a weekly schedule of sprint car, late model and pro-stock dirt track racing. Several national touring series visit the track, including World of Outlaws Late Model Series and the All Star Circuit of Champions.
August 16th, 2025, Port Royal Speedway is hosting the 19th Annual Living Legends Dream Race with 410 Sprints, Late Models and $20,000 to win!!
