Fall is the perfect time of year for a nice country drive to explore some of Pennsylvania's covered bridges. Perry County PA has 14 Covered Bridges, while Pennsylvania has hundreds !! With maps available for bridge touring purposes, it is possible to see many in one day.

Williams Grove Farmers Flea Market

Williams Grove Historical Steam Engine Association is hosting an outdoor Farmers Flea Market every Sunday (weather permitting) throughout the year. From dawn until 2 pm there will be numerous vendors at the Williams Grove Steam Engine Show Grounds in Mechanicsburg. WGHSEA continues to provide a quality market thanks to the support of our many diverse vendors and patrons.

Stewartstown Railroad Fall Foliage Runs ~ November 4th & 5th, 2023

"A-L-L A-BOARD!", announces the conductor. Mighty Mo, a 1943 locomotive roars to life as the engineer releases the brakes, opens the throttle and your train pulls out of the station. Children and adults alike stir with excitement as the whistle blows. Sit back, relax and enjoy a trip back in time as you enjoy the splendor of fall while riding on the historic Stewartstown Railroad. Choose from one of 3 daily trips on two dates, Saturday and Sunday, November 4th & 5th 2023 for the Fall Foliage Runs.
Chartered in 1884, and opened in 1885, the Stewartstown Railroad survives today in very much original condition, and retains its unique charm. Currently, passenger trains operate out of the 1914 Stewartstown Railroad Station, and run the entire length of the 7.4 mile line to New Freedom PA.
