Williams Grove Historical Steam Engine Association is hosting an outdoor Farmers Flea Market every Sunday (weather permitting) throughout the year. From dawn until 2 pm there will be numerous vendors at the Williams Grove Steam Engine Show Grounds in Mechanicsburg. Stewartstown Railroad Fall Foliage Runs ~ November 4th & 5th, 2023

"A-L-L A-BOARD!", announces the conductor. Mighty Mo, a 1943 locomotive roars to life as the engineer releases the brakes, opens the throttle and your train pulls out of the station. Chartered in 1884, and opened in 1885, the Stewartstown Railroad survives today in very much original condition, and retains its unique charm. Currently, passenger trains operate out of the 1914 Stewartstown Railroad Station, and run the entire length of the 7.4 mile line to New Freedom PA.

Trains and Troops & Swing Train '40s Dance Nov 4th & 5th, 2023

This November two unique events will be held at The Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania in Strasburg PA.
Trains and Troops 2023 is held on Saturday, November 4th and Sunday, November 5th. This is the Museum's annual tribute to the U. S. Armed Forces, American railroads and all those who served, and are serving, overseas and on the home front in defense of our nation. Also, enjoy a ride on the Strasburg Rail Road, with living history re-enactors.
Taking the Swing Train '40s Dance Saturday, November 4th, the Museum's giant hall comes alive to the sound of Big Band Music from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The dance will be reminiscent of a USO canteen, and guys and gals of all ages are encouraged to attend in uniform or, '40s clothing to help us re-live the past.
