The IceFest originated in 2002 to help shake the mid-winter blues that fall upon us. A large group of volunteers came together to bring displays and other activities to get us out of the house and into our local community. Through local business and public support IceFest has evolved to one of the largest outdoor ice festivals in Pennsylvania. Pull out your favorite scarf and mittens, bundle the kids up and don't forget your camera, you won't want to miss the faces of those who sit upon the giant ice throne for the first time or stand beside their favorite sculpture. Activities scheduled throughout the four-day festival include, live ice carvings, the Snowfall Ball, Chili Cook-off, dunking at the Polar Dunk Plunge, the ice slide, and much more!
