Come on out to the Central Pennsylvania Rock and Mineral Club's Annual Gem, Mineral, and Jewelry Show, September 28th & 29th, 2024, at the Zembo Shrine Auditorium Harrisburg Consistory 2801 North Third Street in Harrisburg, PA, where you will find over 25 vendors to meet all your rock, gem, and jewelry needs. The event will feature, Pennsylvania Geological Survey display with free publications, informative programs presented by Jones Geological Services, a silent Auction and wheel of rocks, free prize drawings, educational mineral and fossil displays, kids can dig for rocks and gems for free in the kid's mini-mine, and more!

A Pennsylvania Treasure: The Rockville Bridge

Rockville Bridge, completed in 1902, was, and still remains, the longest stone arch masonry railroad viaduct in the world. Constructed between 1900 and 1902 by the Pennsylvania Railroad, 3,820 feet in length, the 48 arches span Susquehanna River about 5 miles north of Harrisburg, PA, just south of Marysville, PA. It is a remarkable sight to see all the trains roll across this historic structure on a daily basis, and you never know what might show up next!
