PENNSYLVANIA SPEEDWEEK July 3rd & 6th 2024 at Port Royal Speedway!

Wednesday July 3rd at Port Royal Speedway the Pennsylvania Speedweek will kick off with the Annual Greg Hodnett Classic for 410 Sprints (tt) $10,000 & Late Models at 7:30pm!
Then Saturday July 6th, the Annual PA Speedweek Keith Kauffman Classic 410 Sprints & URC 360 Sprint Cars $2,000 at 7:30pm!
Port Royal Speedway is one of the oldest, operating racetracks in Pennsylvania. The half-mile dirt track opened in 1938 and hosts a weekly schedule of sprint car, late model and pro-stock dirt track racing. See the Port Royal Speedway website for details!

Bird Watching around The Bridgeview B&B

One of the many popular things to do at The Bridgeview Bed & Breakfast is to observe all the birds and wildlife that surround our establishment. Whether it be from our spacious decks, observation room, or even taking a walk along the river, you never know what you are going to see! This time of year is a great to see the many colorful Gold Finches and Baltimore Orioles in their bright mating plumage nesting around the premises. Here are some of some of the recent bird sightings:
Goldfinch, American Red Start, Baltimore Oriole, Bay Breasted Warbler, Belted Kingfisher, Black-Crowned Night Heron, Blue Jay, Brown Thrasher, Brown-Headed Cowbird, Chickadee, Wren, Cedar Waxwings, Chimney Swift, Loon, Merganser, Downy Woodpecker, Kingbird, Phoebe, Towhee, Wood-pewee, Gray Catbird, Great Blue Heron, Great Egret, House Finch, Wren, Kildeer, Mallard Duck, Mourning Dove, Northern Cardinal, Orchard Blackbird, Rock Dove, Rough Winged Swallow, Song Sparrow, Tree Swallow, Tufted Titmouse, White Breasted Nuthatch, Wood Ducks, Wood Thrush, Yellow Warbler and Bald Eagles!

The Middletown & Hummelstown Railroad ~ June 30th 2024 Caboose Rides

Enjoy a Caboose Ride June 30th, 20243, as experienced by a freight conductor in years past, at the M&H Railroad.
During this fun 11-mile round-trip train ride along the Swatara Creek, you will learn the history of the area, the Union Canal, and the railroad from a live narration. Passengers board at the 1891 Station in Middletown, Pennsylvania, which was originally built as a freight station and in more recent years converted for use as a passenger station. The Station contains a ticket window, gift shop and modern ADA restrooms. Browse the gift shop or relax on the porch and visit with folks from near and far.
