Do you know where the best place to watch 4th of July fireworks in Central Pa is?? It is from the deck of The Bridgeview Bed & Breakfast! The Harrisburg Country Club is located directly across the river from The Bridgeview, and they put on a spectacular show for July 4th. We are lucky to have their show right in front of our deck. The fireworks appear to be "coming at us" and falling into the river. It surely is a sight to see. If you are looking for a different type of fireworks show, relaxing on a lounge chair, this is the place for you.
On July 4, the City of Harrisburg will host the Taste of Independence Food Truck Festival & Fireworks Show along Riverfront Park. This one-day event features live music, delicious food, activities for children and the largest fireworks show in Central PA! There will be food trucks offering a variety of unique items and festival favorites such as kettle corn, cotton candy, fried oreos and funnel cakes. Fireworks will begin at approximately 9:15pm.
The Star Barn Village in Elizabethtown, PA is another great place to see fireworks. They are hosting their annual July 4th Celebration with fireworks on the 4th of July at 9pm. There will be all sorts of activities, including train rides, available for their celebration.

Harris Tower

Harris Switch Tower located in Harrisburg, PA was built in 1929 by the Pennsylvania Railroad, and remained in operation until 1991 when closed by Amtrak. The tower was purchased by the Harrisburg Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society in 1992 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994. Come explore an operating piece of Pennsylvania Railroad history, and experience an actual operating interlocking machine!!
