7th Annual Williams Grove Model Train Flea Market 7/20-21/13

There are many interesting events and fun things to do when you choose The Bridgeview Bed & Breakfast as your lodging destination in Central Pennsylvania. Here is one venue with three great events hosted by the Williams Grove Historical Steam Engine Association July 20th & 21st .
Toy & Model Train Flea Market, operating model train displays, scale, toy, vintage collectable trains & accessories for sale, and a raffle each day for a chance to operate Locomotive 52.
Steam train rides with engine 643 the only operating Pennsylvania Railroad steam locomotive in the world! Plus see historic railroad equipment.
The Farmers Flea Market will be operating both days! Search for antiques and interesting artifacts at the large outdoor gathering of vendors selling their wares.

The Rolling Antique Auto Show & Run 7/20/13

Be part of reliving automotive history at The Rolling Antique Auto Show & Run July 20, 2013! We're transforming the railroad into an interactive antique auto show, featuring cars on display and in action, as they race alongside the mighty steam train. From Stanley Steamers to Plymouths, Cadillac's, more than 20 antique cars dating back to 1918 will be rolling around Strasburg Rail Road for visitors to explore and admire. You'll also see the cars in motion and hear stories of days-gone-by as the car owners tell tales of their favorite ride. This event will be educational and you won't want to miss it!

Bird Watching around The Bridgeview B&B

One of the many popular things to do at The Bridgeview Bed & Breakfast is to observe all the birds and wildlife that surround our establishment. Whether it be from our beautiful deck, observation room, or even taking a walk along the river, you never know what you are going to see! Right now is a great time to see the many colorful Gold Finches and Baltimore Orioles in their bright mating plumage nesting around the premises. Here are some of some of the recent bird sightings:
American Goldfinch, American Red Start, Baltimore Oriole, Bay Breasted Warbler, Belted Kingfisher, Black-Crowned Night Heron, Blue Jay, Brown Thrasher, Brown-Headed Cowbird, Carolina Chickadee, Carolina Wren, Cedar Waxwings, Chimney Swift, Common Loon, Common Merganser, Common Yellow-throat, Downy Woodpecker, Double Crested Cormorants, Eastern Kingbird, Eastern Phoebe, Eastern Towhee, Eastern Wood-pewee, Fish Crow, Gray Catbird, Great Blue Heron, Great Egret, House Finch, House Wren, Kildeer, Mallard Duck, Mourning Dove, Northern Cardinal, Orchard Blackbird, Rock Dove, Rough Winged Swallow, Song Sparrow, Tree Swallow, Tufted Titmouse, White Breasted Nuthatch, Wood Ducks, Wood Thrush, Yellow Warbler and Bald Eagles!
